Lauren Talbot, PhD Candidate at U.C. Berkeley in Geotechnical Engineering, participated in our February 2025 VR Science Communication Bootcamp and built a 3D VR museum showcasing the history and development of a new large-deformation numerical model, the Material Point Method (MPM).

On Nov 14 & 15, our 10k Science team traveled down to Anaheim, CA to exhibit at the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT) conference for the first time.

As we enter a new school year, we’re excited to share some pivotal updates that mark a big turning point for 10k Science. Over the past year, we’ve been focused on building something truly unique in the world of science education, and today, we’re announcing three major milestones that underscore our progress.

Dynamoid, a company at the forefront of educational technology, today unveiled 10k Science, an immersive AI platform designed to revolutionize science education. Aimed at both school and home learning environments, users are expertly guided through rich, interactive experiences with artificial intelligence and virtual reality.

Our education team conducted a survey of science educators to gain an in-depth understanding of the challenges educators face in teaching science or STEM subjects, topics students struggle with the most, and the level of interest in incorporating VR technology into the classroom.

28 students from Oakland School for the Arts completed the 10k Science CRISPR and Sunshine Creek VR experiences, and were interviewed and surveyed on their experience afterwards. These are the students’ experiences from their own words.
