Parents’ Bill of Rights for Data Privacy & Security

Dynamoid is committed to protecting the privacy and security of student data in compliance with New York State Education Law §2-d and applicable federal laws.

Parents and eligible students have the right to:

  • Have their child’s personally identifiable information (PII) protected from unauthorized disclosure.
  • Know that student PII will not be sold or released for commercial or marketing purposes.
  • Know that student PII is collected and used only for educational purposes as authorized by an educational institution.
  • Inspect and review the complete contents of their child’s educational records, in accordance with applicable law.
  • Have student PII protected using administrative, technical, and physical safeguards.
  • Have student PII deleted or returned when it is no longer needed to provide educational services, unless retention is required by law.
  • Know that any subcontractors or service providers with access to student PII are required to comply with the same data privacy and security protections.

Data Collected

10k Science collects only the minimum data necessary to provide educational services. This may include pseudonymous identifiers, usage data, and, where applicable, temporary audio recordings used solely to generate automated speech-to-text transcriptions.

Data Security

Student data is protected using industry-standard security practices, including encryption in transit and at rest and access controls.
